Compression fracture of talus crown

Last January while snowboarding in B.C. I did in my right ankle in an ugly way. After about 30 X-rays (no joke), 5 trips to an ortho. specialist, 2 visits to dept. of nuclear medicine for bone scans, one podiatrist for orthodics, multiple trips to my naturopathic chiropractor, deep tissue therapy and now acupuncture treatments, I'm still dealing with a considerable amount of pain & find myself limping towards the end of the average day. I'm STILL icing it regularly, but my range of motion has suffered, not to mention my lifestyle and morale. Being an avid scuba diver, rock climber, snowboarder, dirtbiker(you get the idea) I'm losing my patience when I can hardly walk my dog without suffering later!!! My next plan is to get these "Mephisto" brand shoes which (in theory) shold provide greater all day support, but I'm eager to get your input on any new ideas or possible treatments out there. The ligament damage is still evident (tenderness, swelling, mild discoloring and broken vessels) and the medical community is seemingly out of ideas. I've accepted the fact I won't be snowboarding anytime soon, but I'll be damned if I have to give it up completely! I've even been working on some prototype bindings, braces and the like to help me get back on the hill without doing further damage to myself - and others. Anything you may have heard of would be worth my investigating, be it proven or not. Sorry for the long message, but my typing is one thing that hasn't suffered. Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to any news. Cheers!
