: I had a bone chip in my ankle. I had to get it taken out before it got any better. Your's may not be so bad. Have you tried going to a podiatrist instead of an orthapedic? : : I am a 35 year old male with regular exercise, mostly running. On New Year's day, I turned my ankle playing basketball. Xray shows chipped bone below ankle. I was put in cast for 3 weeks. Started biking in gym last week (finally). Running still causes discomfort and a tiny bit of pain. Ankle still feels weak. Some say bone injuries take 2-3 months to get to 90%. But then this is a minor bone chip rather than fracture. Any ideas when I can get back on the treadmill and finally outdoor (pavement) running? : : Thanks for your advice.
