: what type of shoes do i need to get for my foot problem?? ordered some birkenstock, and those did not work. maybe i got the wrong type. also i have a terrible burning pain in my ankles, heel and half way up the back of my leg. dr's have told me that i could have surgery, but that it is very painful. this is going to be the last resort. any SUGGESTIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!

Try Brooks running shoe called "The Beast" -- I have plantar fascitis, and these are the only shoes I can wear comfortably.
