On April 24,2002, I had foot surgery to remove a bunion and I had a hammer toe that the doctor rebroke and fixed. The surgery itself was successful, 9 weeks later I have severe swelling to the point that I cannot wear a shoe. My doctor said all the bones are healed and took many x-rays to see if I may have fractured my foot, but they came back okay. He recommended that I us ice water and warm water and alternate them, but I had no sucess. I would really like to know if you could recommend something for the swelling.
