I had bunion surgery a year ago on both feet. The sugery healed well, but after I started walking I developed chronic sesamoiditis in both feet. Shoe pads, shots, and rest help but then it always returns. What could have happened during bunion surgery to cause chronic sesamoiditis? My podiatrist is perplexed. Have you ever seen this happen and do you have any advise? I am only 31 and I used to be very active. I want to be able to walk and be active again!
