Plantar Fasciitis

I have been fitted for orthodics and they are very
painful to wear. Is this normal or should you
immediately feel relief wearing them? Can you tell me
what type of doctor would be the best in treating my
plantar fasciitis (a podiatrist or an orthopedic doctor)? Thank you
