I can't tell you anything about your calf strain since I am a foot doctor and do not treat this area per se.

An orthopedist is who you need to discuss this with.

An area of softer silicone is incoporated on the medial side of the cushion, the area most sensitive to plantar faciitis pain. Sold in pairs.
