Re: red swollen toe

My mother is 80 and her 4th toe had become painful, swollen and sensitive to pressure. She is unable to wear shoes and her doctor just said it was inflammed. After 5 days of antibiotics (she is still taking them) she says the initial pain has gone but the sensitivity is still there. Any suggestions?
