Re: bone growth stimulator likely to work?

I broke the 5th metatarsal on the right foot over the labor day weekend (9/3/05). After several months, my doctor has ordered a bone growth stimulator. The break is diagonal, and has started healing but is still non-union.

I am a 47 year old smoker (6-10 cigarettes per day). How long do you think it will take for my foot to heal completely?
