Broken toe - old injury

Several years ago the toe next to my "pinky toe" was broken. My mother refused to take me to the Dr. at the time. It has been painful off and on for years so I recently had an x-ray which shows that the tip of the bone was broken and is facing in the opposite direction. It also lies on its side. My doctors seem clueless about how to handle this. I would like to know what my options are. Meanwhile I'll try to get another opinion. Thanks.

Indications: Achilles tendonitis, Acute Achilles paratendonitis, Achillobursitis, Post-operative treatment after Achilles tendon ruptures, Posterior Achilles tendon bursitis.
