Re: Ritchie afo/Arizona brace

: 23 years ago I had a laminectomy that left me with a dropped foot. I have been wearing an afo that is white plastic with a velcro closure. My podiatrist recommended I look into the Ritchie brace and also mentioned the Arizona brace, however he has no idea where or who makes these braces. I live in South Florida. I am pronating and walking on my right big toe, the leg is atrophic and most of the foot is numb. I drive a car and am very active, however it is getting more and more painful and I have developed a huge callous on the outside of the big toe due to the way I am walking. I have now developed arthritis in that whole toe and bone area. I received a cortisone shot today, and it feels somewhat better. Can you tell me anything about this Ritchie brace, how it works or where I can get information about it. Thank you very much for any help you can send me.

Lined with soft fabric on both sides, this ~2mm thick SiliposŪ proprietary gel pad is an excellent cushion to help relieve the burning sensation and discomfort of the five metatarsal heads of the foot (the ball-of-foot) by protecting the ball of foot from repeated friction and abrasion with the shoes.
