swollen ankle&pain in heel

i am a 52 yr old female. my left ankle swells when i'm on my feet a lot. figured it wasn't unusual due to age, arthritis, whatever. but now my heel feels like i have a bruise (i don't) and my entire left leg sometimes tingles and aches. may be my imagination, but the left leg also looks like it may be a few shades lighter than the right...help?
