I have nevere heard of that? The interdigital nerve that becomes inflammed in a neuroma is just under the intermetatarsal ligament which attaches the metatarsals and prevents them from splaying. The interdigital nerve runs BETWEEN the metatarsal heads along the interspace. The nerve does not run UNDER the metatarsal bone. If this is true, you may have a nerve anomaly.
