When I have sent a patient to my friendly neurologist, sometimes it is frustrating to get back pages of graphs from nerve testing and still not know what the patient has. My understanding is that it can be difficult for a neurologist to demonstrate on paper if the tarsal tunnel syndrome is purely just sensory. They can easily show the motor nerve deficit. By all means, though, if you feel more comfortable discuss this with a neurologist. BTW, the EMG test is not the most fun you will have that day!
