Help - fundiagnosed foot pain in the outer heel

Hello,

I am in alot of pain that has yet to be diagnosed. I think the pain is in the calcaneus bone? I have had an xray and bone scan - no stress fracture. My Dr says it could be a bone bruise but I don't think it is - sometimes I get the pain when I step down and sometimes just while I am sitting. The pain seems to be very localized - the Dr did mention possibly a nerve but she didn't think it would be far back in the lower outside heel which is where my pain is. Anybody have anything similar I would love to hear from you!
