1. X-rays showed no problems. I was at a vacation in India at that time, and the MRI was done on the tsunami day, so I am not sure about the radiology report. The doctor suspected gout and prescribed allopurinol. Doctors in texas ruled out gout and a small lead marker was pasted on exact point of pain and Xray was taken again. The location was at the joint between the third metatarsal and lateral cuneiform. The podiatrist asked me to buy a custom made heel ($660) but no insurance coverage. He said my tarsometatarsal joint must have been damaged and I might need screws. My question is why didnt that damage show up in the MRI? Sorry for the long story. Thanks for the help. Pain is at a particular spot and radiates through the entire foot. Celebrex and NSAID provides no help.
