In January I twisted my ankle while walking my dog. It hurt, and swelled a little. Not bad. Since then, it's gotten worse and worse. Swelling, and I can't turn my foot w/o experiencing big time pain. Went to the ortho last Wed. he x-rayed it, and ordered a bone scan w/o telling me why. What does a bone scan show that an x-ray won't? Am kind of concerned, not to mention hurting. I would appreciate any insight. Thanks.
