swollen with pain ankle

Hi,
A couple of days ago, my ankle was hurting me, and it is swollen & sore. I have no problem walking on it, but it hurts when I bend it. I can't remember injuring it, but I did have a fall a two weeks ago. I am 45, and never broke a bone or had a sprain. My friends says it is a spider bite, but I don't think so.
