Ten years ago I was diagnosed with Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. First it was only in my left foot but eventually it started in my right. It seems to be getting worse and I have trouble sleeping at night even though I sleep with ice packs on my feet. I have seen a Podiatrist for this and he has mentioned surgery, but has warned me that it is only 50/50 that it will correct it. I do not know what to do. I am afraid that eventually I will not be able to walk. What is your opinion of the surgery? Does he mean that there will be no improvement? Or does he mean that in only 50% of the cases the patient gets 100% better? I would just like to hear another doctors opinion. Thank you for any help you can offer. Janet K. Martin
