Tip of big toe numb and tingly for 2 days.

The last two days the top half of my big toe has been numb (loss of sensation) yet tingly like "pins and needles" feeling. It is very uncomfortable and bothersome. Frankly I'm worried about it since I didn't obviously injure it. I'm thinking about seeing my primary care doctor soon. I'd hate to go through the weekend with this annoyance, but I am also worried about overreacting and trying to get into the office tomorrow.
