lump at sides of arches

I have a lump on the side of each foot arch (the inner side of the arch between the top of foot and bottom of arch). Been ther forever. Lately these lumps and the surrounding arches have been feeling a little achey. What are the lumps? I read someplace that it could be an over growth of the platar facia. Is there anything zI can do to relieve the uncomfortable feeling such as getting arch supports because I do have high arches.
